Welcome to ZiphyNet. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ZiphyNet, and they govern your access to and use of the ZiphyNet mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). We've written them to be as clear as we reasonably can. Please read them carefully — by using ZiphyNet, you're agreeing to them.
By creating an account, accessing, or using ZiphyNet in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Child Safety Standards, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ZiphyNet. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 13 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to use the Service. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will terminate the account. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle children's information.
To use most features of ZiphyNet, you need to create an account. When you do, you agree to:
You may not create an account for anyone else, transfer your account to another person, or create accounts to evade a suspension or ban. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.
ZiphyNet is a community, and your use of it must respect other people and the law. You agree not to post, share, or transmit any content, or engage in any conduct, that:

You own your content. Anything you create and post on ZiphyNet — your posts, comments, images, videos, and messages ("Your Content") — remains yours. We don't claim ownership of it.
However, to operate the Service, we need your permission to use it in certain ways. By posting Your Content, you grant ZiphyNet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting and display purposes), and distribute Your Content on and through the Service. This license exists only so we can actually show your content to other users and run features like feeds, sharing, and previews. It ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except that content already shared with others (such as a message someone received) may persist, and copies may remain in backups for a limited time.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law or third-party rights.
The ZiphyNet name, logo, app, website, design, and all related software and materials (excluding user content) are owned by ZiphyNet and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose, in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service or its underlying software, except as permitted by law.
To keep ZiphyNet safe, we use a combination of automated content moderation (powered by Cloudflare Workers AI) and human review. We may review, remove, or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
Enforcement is based on the severity of the violation and may range from content removal or a warning to temporary suspension or permanent ban. Certain violations — including child sexual exploitation and credible threats of violence — result in immediate permanent removal and, where applicable, reporting to authorities. We aim to act fairly and consistently, but we reserve the right to take action at our discretion to protect the community.
ZiphyNet relies on trusted third-party providers to operate — including Cloudflare (hosting, database, security, AI moderation), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Cloudinary (media storage), and Resend (email delivery). Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms where relevant. The Service may also contain links to third-party websites or content that we do not control and are not responsible for.
You may stop using ZiphyNet and delete your account at any time. To delete your account, use the in-app option where available, or contact us at [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time — with or without notice — if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your conduct may harm ZiphyNet, its users, or others. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted to others, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate or reliable.
ZiphyNet hosts user-generated content and is not responsible for content posted by users or for interactions between users. You use the Service, and interact with other users, at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZiphyNet and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including content posted by other users. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZiphyNet and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (d) your infringement of any third party's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless applicable law in your place of residence requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws that apply to you.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account.
